Fun Times This March!
Firecrackers!
March is here, but I’m still trying to get my head around welcoming January 2022. Hopefully this means warmer weather, longer days and patio conversations with friends.
Is there something you’re looking forward to this month?
Personally, I don’t think I have too much different going on. I might get to plan a surprise party for someone special in my life. I’m hoping I’ll get to; it’s so much fun to plan things for the people you care about! Pretty sure they won’t read this blog, so I can spill a little bit. I’m thinking of an outdoor party with his closest friends and his favourite food. Can I pull it off in 3 weeks? I sure hope so!
Over here in FD world, The Writing Department has so much coming to you. Aside from the usual Thursday Writing Bursts and Script & Short Story Consultations on Mondays, our Writing Department Co-head, Liesl, has a Save the Cat! Book Club starting March 10 through May 12.
In April she’ll also be hosting Scriptwriting Workshops. Want to know how to get involved? Subscribe to our newsletter and join our Facebook Members Group. Those are the best ways to always be on top of what Firecracker Department has to offer YOU and to see how YOU can get more involved in our ever growing community.
Do you think you’ll be getting involved with us more?
There’s something I want to talk about. Accountability. For me, being in school was the best at holding me accountable not only for my class projects, but my own personal ones as well. I’ve had so many ideas on things to write and get involved in, but without school these days it seems that I just can’t get into the swing of things. There are so many resources out there to help me stay on track- this community being one of them, but I still can’t seem to get into the groove of starting my own works. It’s an annoying pain in my back side, but I’ve just grown ‘fine’ with having all these ideas. Ideas…but nothing concrete to show except for some detailed notes. For now.
How do you hold yourself accountable?
March is a bit of a short entry, but nonetheless a good one. Time for my favourite part!
My end of blog call to action. Here it is:
Start something you’ve been putting off. You don’t need to finish it, but just take a small step to start it
Try something new! A new drink, food, movie genre- whatever you can think of
Soak up some sun (safely) once your local weather changes for the better :)
See you in April,
