CORE SIZZLE REEL FOR TIFF

If you’d like to participate in the TIFF Firecracker Department Core “mission statement montage” sizzle reel, here’s your chance. Below are instructions, your script, and some options for booking the Zoom call for recording with Red Carpet Team.

SET UP: We’ll be recording via Zoom. Camera set to landscape (horizontal) not vertical (tik-tok style) please. Have a light set up somewhere behind your device so it lights your face (time to use your ring light!) and in a quiet place in your home. Shooting for the best sound quality so have earphones with microphone handy.

SCRIPT A: (keep handy for showtime!)

Firecracker Department started as a podcast and has grown into an international community of artistic women and non-binary folks empowering each other to take creative action through positivity, education, support and by providing a platform for our voices and stories.

SCRIPT B: This ‘Silent On Camera” and just a friendly, smiley, Brady Bunch style wave to the camera.

Because no human civilian has their outfit picked out weeks before a red carpet event, we’ll stick to a splash of red as the only wardrobe guideline. You won’t be expected to appear red carpet ready. If that is your natural state, go for it!

This is a way to combine all the core members shout outs into one place. The turn around needs to be fast and we will be sticking to our cut off date of first week of September. Will communicate exact date once we start editing and better understand the time needed to edit.

Practice reading the statement a few times ahead of meeting so you’re comfortable. Those that can do it in one take are eligible to win a Firecracker Department coffee mug. Lets have some fun with this!
